Popular ritual

Moroccan Bath in Majan, Dubai

Authentic Moroccan bath in Majan, Dubai — steam, Beldi black soap and kessa glove exfoliation in a private hammam room.

What to expect

The ritual begins with steam to soften the skin, followed by an application of Beldi black soap made from olives. Once the soap has done its work, your therapist exfoliates with a kessa glove — the step that removes dead skin and gives the Moroccan bath its reputation. A rinse, a light mask and a moisturising finish complete the session.

It is the treatment to book before an event, after a long stretch of air-conditioned office days, or whenever your skin feels dull. Many guests pair it with a massage; ask about the combo rate when you message us.

Step by step

What happens in your session

So you know exactly what to expect before you arrive. The whole thing takes 60 min in a room of your own.

  1. 1
    Steam to soften the skin

You sit in the heated room for several minutes. This opens the pores and makes the exfoliation far more effective.

  2. 2
    Beldi black soap is applied

An olive-based soap is worked over the body and left for a few minutes.

  3. 3
    Kessa glove exfoliation

Your therapist scrubs with a kessa mitt. This is the step that removes dead skin — you will see it come away.

  4. 4
    Rinse, mask and moisturise

A warm rinse, an optional clay mask, then moisturiser to finish. Skin feels noticeably smoother straight away.

Before you book

Is moroccan bath right for you?

It suits dull or flaky skin, and anyone with an event coming up. Tell your therapist about anything relevant before you start — it changes how the session is given.

Please mention it first if:

  • you shaved or waxed the same day
  • you have sunburn, eczema, psoriasis or broken skin
  • you have had a chemical peel or laser treatment recently

Our treatments are for relaxation and wellbeing. They are not medical care, and we may adapt or decline a treatment where it would not be safe. If you are being treated for a condition, check with your doctor first.
